Nor-Dem Demolition

Nor-Dem Demolition was formed and registered in 1999; we undertake demolition works, stripping out works and non – licenced asbestos removal. The company is family owned and has one director, Paul Rolfe.

Paul is Managing Director and is responsible for Health & Safety and the smooth running of demolition contracts on a daily basis. Paul has over 20 years experience in Demolition; he is well known and respected within the demolition industry.

Neil Brown is the Commercial Manager of the company, responsible for estimating and financial management. He has worked in the demolition industry for the past 25 years and is fully conversant with all aspects of demolition. He has been in construction throughout his career and has worked for building and civil engineering contractors, geotechnical contractors and in the pipeline industry. He is also a qualified surveyor and carries out Refurbishment Demolition Surveys.

Mark Brazier joined the company in 2011 and is currently responsible for company Vehicles & Plant and holds a current Managing National Road Haulage Transport Operations certificate. He provides contract estimations, produces the Method Statements, Risk Assessments and manages current contracts.

Both Paul and Neil have current SMSTS qualifications, Paul also has a current IOSH certificate. Our Supervisors have SSSTS Site Supervisors Safety Certificates and our workforce hold current CSCS/CCDO cards, PASMA, CPCS, IPAF, CAT-B Asbestos Awareness and Half Mask Face Fit certification.

We employ a specialist safety consultant, Northern Safety Ltd to provide health and safety advice, regular audits, continuous training and monitoring on our behalf. We currently have 12 operatives working towards NVQ certification.

The company has its own fleet of vans, wagons and specialist demolition plant and we normally employ a workforce in excess of 30 operatives.

Nor-Dem Demolition undertakes a large variety of contracts, both commercial and industrial and our working area ranges from the Scottish border to North Yorkshire, the North East, from coast to coast. We currently work for most of the major construction companies within the area on a variety of projects, from minor stripping out works, to total demolition and site clearance.

We have also carried out a variety of works for a number of Housing Associations and Consulting Engineers and Architects on Hospitals and Schools.

Contracts range in value from £1,000.00 to £350,000.00 and our Employers liability Insurance is for £10,000,000.00. All materials arising from demolition works are salvaged, recycled or transported to licensed landfill sites.

We are members of CHAS, Constructionline & National Demolition Training Group.
