Nor-Dem Ltd. was formed in 1999. We undertake demolition works, stripping out works and non-licensed asbestos removal.The company is family owned and has two directors, Paul Rolfe and George Lemon. Paul is Managing Director and George is the Contracts Director, both are responsible for the smooth running of the contracts on a daily basis, organising labour, plant and transport. George has over 30 years experience and has been in demolition all his working life ; he is well known and respected within the demolition industry.
Neil Brown is the Commercial Manager of the company, responsible for estimating and financial management. He has worked in the demolition industry for the past 20 years and is fully conversant with all aspects of demolition. He has been in construction throughout his career and has worked for building and civil engineering contractors, geotechnical contractors and in the pipeline industry. He is also a qualified surveyor and carries out asbestos surveys. Since October 2012 he works part time.
Mark Brazier joined Nor-Dem Ltd in 2011 and is currently responsible for company Vehicle & Plant and holds a current Managing National Road Haulage Transport Operations certificate. He also provides contract estimations and produces the Method Statements and Risk assessments on award of contract.
Both Paul and Neil have current SMSTS qualifications. Our supervisors have Construction Site Supervisors Safety Certificates and our workforce hold current CSCS/CCDO cards, PASMA, CPCS and IPAF certification. All operatives have been CRB checked and certified and we also have operative certification for small tools and plant.
We employ a specialist safety consultant to provide Health & Safety advice, continuous training and monitoring on our behalf.
The company has its own fleet of vans, wagons and specialist demolition plant and we employ a workforce in excess of 20 operatives.
We undertake a large variety of contracts, both commercial and industrial and our working area ranges from the Scottish Borders to North Yorkshire, from coast to coast. We currently work for most of the major construction companies within the the area on a variety of projects , from minor stripping out works to total demolition and site clearance.
We have also carried out a variety of works for a number of Housing Associations, Consulting Engineers and Architects on Hospitals and Schools, with contracts ranging in value from £1,000.00 to £250,000.00 and our Employers Liability Insurance is for £10,000,000.00. All materials arising from demolition work are salvaged or sent to licensed landfill sites.
We are members of CHAS, Constructiononline, National Demolition Training Group and the Guild of Master Craftsman.
